    • The news item of the week is the birth of Paige Alexandria to Brandon & Jenni Davies on Tuesday morning! Congratulations to the expanded Davies family!

    Aside from the new addition, there's not much new this week, so I'll throw a bit of a curve-ball, featuring the work of one of our own:
    Hamster Tails, by Gary Fetters.
    How many of you knew we had a cartoonist in our midst?

    Last Sunday's ABF Recap - ATB w/ Marshall and Katika Brandon

    Marshall and Katika's amazing, powerful testimony was on display this past Sunday. They are simply odds-beaters. The statistics show that people who start their marriages the way that the Brandons started theirs end up in divorce very quickly. But the LORD clearly had other things in mind, and what is so neat is that through all the trouble, they recognized that the needed to commit to each other no matter what came their way. Wow! As Katika said, "Our situations may be different, but the emotions are the same." They provided a very good example for us as we grow through married-life. If you ever see another event promoted where Marshall and Katika are featured speakers, make it a point to set up your schedule so you can attend.

    Around The Bend
    What is Around The Bend? It's an opportunity to learn from the real-life experiences
    of a Christian couple who has been there. There's no need to feel isolated, like what is happening to you and your family is unique. Is it not God's design for us to learn from each other and to encourage each other? Instead of having a periodic "marriage series," we've set up a monthly schedule of welcoming "marriage veterans" to our ABF so that they can share their stories. The points of connection that have been made at previous Around The Bend mornings are the type of "coincidences" that only the LORD can arrange. On Sunday, November 21, Kris and Ann Jaenicke will join us.

    Expect good things.
